Wicketkeeper Tammy Beaumont is hoping to add to the silverware cabinet when Kent Women take part in T20 Final’s Day on Bank Holiday Monday.

Beaumont and the Kent Women take on Berkshire in the semi-final at Wokingham with the winner to play either Sussex or Yorkshire at Wokingham in the final later on in the day.

A win would see the Kent Women’s side defend their crown after winning the T20 twelve months ago and they will once again be captained by England captain Charlotte Edwards.

Victory for Kent would cement their place as one of the greatest sides to have graced the ladies game and Beaumont told KSN how she was keen to see the side return to the county with the trophy:

“This is the one we have all been looking forward to. It’s a big day for us. We have got quite a young inexperienced squad seeing as we are missing some of the England players and it will be a big test for them, but hopefully they stand up and we come back with the cup.”

“We probably go in as favourites and we need to make sure we get through that game with Berkshire and could face Sussex in the final which would be good as that’s always a good rival match.”

“We have come up against them quite a bit in the last few years, but hopefully we will be alright.”

Playing for Kent and England sees the 21 year old having a busy next few months with the World T20 tournament to come, but she told KSN how it is important to win domestic honours as well as do well for her country:

“It’s absolutely massive that we do well whilst playing for Kent. We all want to prove that we can do well for our county.”

“This will also be a chance to work on a few things ahead of the World Twenty20. We will be looking to go out and express ourselves ahead of a massive World Cup.”
